Why UP Govt. is sitting over this investigation?
Lucknow, Several weeks have passed when ED had informed Chief Secretary UP regarding the investments of Capt. Pragyesh Misra and family in several shell companies. It has been reliably learnt from the CS’s Office that the request from ED to investigate this matter was kept in abeyance on the instructions of a senior bureaucrat.
However, on pursuing the matter, Kalchakra’s Managing Editor, Rajneesh Kapur wrote to the Hon’ble Governor UP about the delay in this matter on 6th April 2021. On 31st May 2021, the Hon’ble Governor directed the Chief Secretary UP to take action as per law in this matter.
In his complaint, Rajneesh Kapur, Delhi based investigative journalist, had given the list of 14 such companies, they are:
While pursing the investigation Kalchakra Investigative News Bureau, has come across shocking information about the said Misra family. Kapur claims to have found out clandestine transactions running into hundreds of crores by the Misras in over 200 companies. Obviously, it is a major scam which needs immediate attention of the UP Govt., ED, Income Tax and CBI.
One may wonder how come an ordinary pilot working for UP Govt. for two decades could amass such huge wealth. The whisper in the corridors of Lok Bhawan indicates financial involvement of several highly corrupt bureaucrats and politicians of UP in this laundering of funds. Since PM Modi and CM Yogi repeatedly emphasize on the ‘Zero Tolerance Policy‘ of their govts. in the matters of corruption, it would call for an effective action in this major scam, without further delay.
Our investigation is on and after confirmation of evidences we may release the names of other companies and of those whose money is invested in these companies. Although, it is the job of the Govt. agencies to do a fair and unbiased investigation, however, to supplement their work Kalchakra team will not shy away from doing our bit to unearth the ill-goten wealth amassed by these people.
